Appearance: Vlad is a tall (about 6’), blue-eyed man with a broad chest and shoulders though appears lanky from the waist down. He has shoulder-length white hair usually tied back and a short white beard. Usually he wears a black suit and white shirt with a red bowtie.

His ghost side, Plasmius, wears an outfit that is white with a black belt, black boots, black gloves, and a cape with a red interior. His eyes become entirely red, skin goes green, and his hair goes black and shaped upward much like a demon’s horns.

Personality: Let’s face it: Vlad’s a seriously crazed up fruitloop. He’s a stalker and won’t take “no” for an answer. He’s a businessman, but most importantly, he is, at heart, a father. He will fiercely protect anyone he cares for, and for them, he has a soft side. To others, he will become as ruthless as necessary to get what he wants, even resort to kill if he must. Let’s just say he’s more than a couple fries short of a Happy Meal. One might go so far as to say that he’s some sort of diabolical genius—and he is. At least the genius part. He can be fun-loving and certainly has a sense of humor, though he may just be laughing at you, not with you.

Abilities/Strengths: He has a calculating mind and a hand for creating mechanical and technological (and sometimes biological) masterpieces. Oh, and being quite a bit stronger when he’s Plasmius helps, too. He has a big heart—but only for those he actually gives a damn about. As a Human, he’s a bit of a weakling. As a ghost, he is physically stronger, can become intangible (pass through objects), invisible, float and fly, can duplicate himself (only a few times, and it takes up a lot of energy), create shields, and fire his purple ectoplasmic energy at people.

Weapons: Only the things he can create as a Human, which isn’t a lot, at Econtra. When he’s in his ghost form, it’s his ecto-energy to watch out for.

Weaknesses: Danny and Maddie Fenton. To begin with, anyway. Also Danielle. Anyone he cares strongly about is a massive weakness for Vlad. He also thinks very highly of himself and can neglect to see the flaws in his plans. He’s used to having a lot of money, therefore the power and resources to get whatever he wants. Without this (and without anything electrical), he’s going to be a bit more useless as a Human.

History: It all started during his years at college where he and Jack Fenton were best friends (though not exactly popular with the rest of their peers). They, along with the beautiful Maddie, were avidly interested in the realm of ghosts and one day attempted to punch open a hole into the Ghost Zone. After a terrible accident (which was entirely Jack’s fault), Vlad's DNA was fused with ectoplasmic material, causing his hair to turn white, to be hospitalized with a case of ecto-acne, and to have the ability to turn into a ghost at will, a ghost form named Vlad Plasmius. That was the end of his former life as he knew it, but a new one was about to begin.

After years in the hospital, Vlad used his rage at Jack (not only was the accident his fault, but he also married Maddie, the love of Vlad’s life) to forge a new purpose in life. To become rich and powerful, to kill Jack, and to take Maddie as his own.

Well, one out of three isn't bad, right...? He used his ghostly powers to overshadow rich moguls and take over their companies, or at least reap huge sums of money from them without them ever knowing it, also forming VladCo while he was at it.

A few years after the incident, Maddie showed up at Vlad’s door. A fight had been had at the Fenton household, and she felt she needed some time away from Jack (who was at home with little Jazz). Things grew more complicated from there, as the love triangle was completed. Though she went back to Jack and patched things up in almost no time flat, Danny was eventually born. Maddie kept the secret hidden from Jack--that it was not their son, but hers and Vlad’s. Despite this, and Vlad’s many pleas and attempts to woo her back, Maddie would not return, and she strengthened her bond with her family. This left Vlad bitter and alone, not to mention more determined than ever to win her back--and his son as well.

Twenty years after he had first been transformed, living in a Packers-themed mansion in Madison, Wisconsin, rich and well-known, and in complete control of his powers, he attempted to kill Jack at a school reunion only to run into Danny for the first time. Through this encounter, he discovered that the boy was a half-ghost with similar powers as well (albeit nowhere near as refined and controlled as his own). However, the secret of his parentage was kept from Danny as well, and the two became enemies.

During this time, he had taken some DNA from Danny to attempt to create a successful, surviving clone. This was how Dani was created, and though it had not been what he had wanted or what he expected, he soon warmed to her. She, too, however, left him to join Danny in his fight against Vlad instead of with.

Eventually, a terrible incident at the local Amity Park restaurant, the Nasty Burger, left Danny’s family and best friends (and a teacher) dead. With nobody else to go to, Vlad happily let Danny stay with him as his guardian. Vlad mellowed out somewhat, since he had one thing he wanted and could not hope to have the other (although he still dabbled in ghosts and being a ruthless businessman who gathered his wealth in some shady ways). Danny eventually learned of his parentage and accepted Vlad as his father. Until the day Vlad found himself suddenly in Econtra...
